SWATCH BARATH

Bethany Navajeevan College of Education organised the swachh Bharat campaign on 01-10-2021 at 9.00am in our Bethany ground. The regular morning assembly was organised by section C student teacher of second year . We took the pledge of Swachh Bharat and our professor the introductory speech for the day. It was followed by the rally. We assembled ourselves according to our respective houses . The house leaders hold the respective house banner and all members were caps and hold the placards and we took a small rally from our campus to the playground to give awareness to all the students and teachers. We shouted the slogan “ clean India , green India , My dream India” and then we assembled ourselves in the college play ground according to our houses . To invoke the presence of God. Ms.Nisha and group sang a prayer song . Later Ms. Vibila Sherin First year preservice teacher of maths department welcomed the gathering . 

                      The activities were performed by the four houses and first year. First year student teacher showed the demo of using sanitizer to protect ourselves from COVID . The rose house performed a demo of using soap in our daily lives and it was very interesting. The Lotus house performed on the theme not to use plastic and they showed an alternative to plastic. The Lily house performed on cleaning the environment , they demonstrated the ways to prevent communicable disease. Then Jasmine house performed an the theme of solid waste management, thus resulting into seperation of waste and how it will lead to healthy environment followed by a poem recitation on Swachh Bharat by Ms.Bernisha Angel, the poem provoked our ideas from green India.

                    Then our correspondent Rev.Dr.John Christopher gave the presidential address he said about the ways to clean ourselves mentally , spiritually and physically. Awareness programme was performed by Ms.Gigi and group . Then W.Aswin of physical science gave a awesome speech in Tamil about cleanliness. Then Ahila and team performed a mine , to showcase the present situation of environment and thus making us to realise the pathetic situation . Then Ms. Premi Ruth and group sang a song on how to eradicate plastics and it made us realise the damage we are causing to the environment .

                 Then Ms.E.Winshiya gave the vote of thanks. Then to remember the day we signed our names in the signature board to remember the pledge we took. Later we took measures and actively participated to clean environment. The programme was anchored by R.Ancy Aileen and B.S.Shini and Mrs.Sathiyavathy . Thus we marked the day memorable one in our lives.
