STRESS COPING MANAGEMENT

        A seminar on " Stress Coping Management" was held on 12-10-2021 in the smart class room. The programme commenced at 10:25am with the opening remarks and forward by Ms. B. S. Shini , first year student teacher. Mrs . R. Adlin welcomed everyone with her cheerful welcome address. Afterwards Mrs. T. Irin Jeba Asst. prof of Mathematics delivered an remarkable introductory speech on the topic " Stress Coping Management". Notably ,all the faculty members were along with us, during the seminar session.
           The resource person Mrs. R.M. Eugin Nirmala , Asst. prof in Physical Science, emphasized the necessity to maintain our stress . She highlighted the causes , stress at work. Activation of physical, emotional and behavioral symptoms happens to the body during stress . She also highlight the physical symptoms of stress , emotional and mental symptoms of stress. Emotional and mental symptoms causes anxiety, depression, panic attacks, sadness.
               Then we had a small discussion about negative effects of the stress. According to physical effects there is weight gain or loss, unexpected hair less, heart palpitations, high blood pressure. Then the emotional effects are mood, swings, anxiety can lead to unhealthy coping strategies. Mam had mentioned a quote among stress, " To little stress may result in boredom" and To much stress may cause an unproductive anxiety level " Then mam had explained how to manage our stress by doing body relaxation excercise , physical exercise, meditation, counselling etc. There are some ways to manage stress with unhealthy behaviours, such as gambling, smoking, shopping,using drugs, over eating etc. Finally mam taught us some ways to prevent stress .
                    Next our student teachers gave their feedback about the seminar. Atlast Ms.A. Anisha delivered the vote of thanks. The Master of Ceremony was done by Ms. B. S. Shini. The seminar served as a tool to kindle the minds of the budding teachers to maintain their stress.
