POSITIVE ATTITITUDE TOWARDS TEACHING
A seminar on "Positive Attitude Towards Teaching" was held on 20.09.2021 in the smart class room. The program started at 10.45 am. with the opening remarks and introduction by Mr. Inigo Wilson, first year student teacher. Miss. R.Ancy Aileen, first year student teacher welcomed everyone with a warm smile. Then, Mrs. S.R.Ajila Angel, Asst. Prof. of Biological Science gave an introductory speech on the topic "Positive Attitude Towards Teaching". The other faculty members were also with us during the programme.
The Resource person Dr. S.K.Bernet, Principal BNCE highlighted the importance of being an optimistic teacher. We learnt about attitude, aptitude, altitude, concept of mood, positive and negative evaluation, reflection, confusion, anger, attention, behaviour, shame, suprise, focus, fear, sadness, exhaustion, happiness and favour.
He emphasized upon the role of a good teacher. A teacher should remove the negative thoughts from the innocent minds of students. Teachers should be impartial towards children.
The consequences of punishments were discussed on the class. Students should not be attacked brutally. Corporal Punishment should be avoided so that students can easily get rid of Bibilophobia and Didaskaleinophobia. Videos were also shown relatd to corporal punishment during the seminar.
Psychological Tendency, Emotional Intelligence, Psycho synthesis, Negative attitude, Positive attitude, Result of negative attitude, Negative to positive attitude, Benifits of Positive thinking and general attitude related to our work and the environment are the main topics that was mentioned in the seminar.
Pictures of Personalities like Carl Jung, Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Michael Jordan and their quotes was displayed in order to motivate the first year student teachers The seminar came to an end with a motivating quote, "I am a teacher and I Belive I can make a difference. In the end, Miss. Y.Esther, first year student teacher delivered the vote of thanks.
