Citizenship Training Camp

                                Day - 1
                               Report
             Bethany Navajeevan college of Education organized a one week citizenship training camp from 09.01.2023 to 13-01-2023 in Bethany campus on the theme "Renovating social skills.”
           On 09.01.2023 at 9:30 am at Bethany auditorium the inauguration of camp is conducted. Bethany angels invoked the presence of God almighty. The dignitaries on the dias lighted the lamp. The gatherings were welcomed by Ms J.A. Jenisani, 1st year student teacher. The presidential address was given by Rev. Fr. George Thomas OIC, principal of Bethany Navajeevan Matric Hr. Sec. school. Dr. S.K. Bernet, principal of Bethany Navajeevan college of Education gave a camp introductory speech.
          After the tea break the day was handled by Mrs. Enimal Roselin, Art instructor. She taught and displayed her works and instructed us to do wall painting, dream catcher and painting. The day was more interesting. At last the student teachers reflected their views by giving feedbacks. Ms. V. Susmi 2nd year student teacher expressed the gratitude by vote of thanks. The whole programme was perfectly anchored by Mrs. R. Ancy Aileen, 2nd your student teacher.
                     Day – 2 (Session – 1)
                             Report
              The second day of citizenship training camp was splitted into two sessions. The first session was "child rights and violations" and "TN social welfare Schemes”. The first session was started at 10:00 am in Bethany auditorium.
            Bethany angels invoked the presence and blessings of God almighty through their prayer song. The welcome address was given by Ms. Y. Susmitha, 1st year student teacher. The introductory speech about the day and the resource person was given by Rev. Fr. Dr. John Christopher OIC, Correspondent. Awareness about child rights and violations were presented by Mrs. M. K. Sakeela Banu, District child protection officer. She explained about the impact of child abuse, child marriage. After a tea break Mrs. Sarojini District social welfare officer gave a clear idea and information about various welfare schemes like puthumai pen scheme etc. She explained the benefits of those schemes, also she gave as an emergency number to help any women or child when they are in any danger. After that the self reflection was given by both 1st and 2nd year student teachers. The vote of thanks was given by Ms. Ashika, 2nd year student teacher. The whole programme was hosted by Ms. P. S. Pebisha, 1st year student teacher.
                        Session – 2
                             Report
                Second day, second session was started at 2:30 pm in Bethany auditorium on the topic first aid and personal hygiene.
               The welcome address was given by Ms. Maria Rose, 1st year student teacher. Rev Fr. Dr. John Christopher OIC, correspondent gave an introductory speech about the topic and about the resource person. Then Sr. Dr. Gloria, consultant pediatritian pathiative care specialist, discussed about personal hygiene. About fast food and our food items about our skin, teeth, ears and explained the ways to maintain personal hygiene. Importance of cleanliness and maintenance of personal hygiene were explained clearly.
             At the end of the session student teachers were given a chance to explain their reflection by giving feedback. Ms. B. J. Litty Bency, 2nd year student teacher expressed gratitude by vote of thanks. The whole programme was hosted well by Mr. Ajo D. Thomas.
                                                               
                        Day – 3
                         Report
              The third day of citizenship training camp was “special class on craft - Dreamy Designs.” It was started at 9:30 am in Bethany auditorium.
                 The session was started by invoking the presence of God almighty through a prayer song by Bethany Angels. Ms. G. Akaha, 1st year student teacher welcomed the gathering by her warm welcome. The introductory speech about the session and the resource person was given by Dr. S. K. Bernet, principal of Bethany Navajeevan College of Education. Then the session was handled over to the art instructor, Mrs. Emimal Rosslin. She taught about bottle art, clay modelling, bottle art using clay and paint, recreation of bottle using tissue papers and thread into art. Painting in cloth was also displayed and taught. We the prospective teachers displayed our works that are done in those two art classes. The self-reflection about the session was given by both first year and second year student teachers. Ms. S. Mary Nishivini expressed vote of thanks. The whole programme was hosted by Mc. S.V. Rajisha 2nd year student teacher.
                           Day – 4 
                                                                                                      Report
       The fourth day of the citizenship training camp stated with great excitement. We the student teathers along with our principal and our teachers started our journey to Emmaus, Rehabilitation centre for mentally ill at 9.30 am from our college campus. We reached Emmaus at 10.15 am. Bethany angels invoked the blessings of God almighty through a prayer song, Mr. R. M. shamini 1st year student teacher welcomed the gathering by her warm welcome. Cultural events like song, dance were performed by both 1st and 2nd year student teachers. We also visited the place where the candles are made. The people in Emmaus also enjoyed with us by singing and dancing. Vote of thanks was given by Ms. Ashika 1st year student teacher.
              We Commenced from there at 11:45 am and we reached Pulliyurkurichi Church at 12:10 pm. We had our lunch and we went to Lemur beach, it was the second session of fourth day. We reached Lemur beach at 1:30 pm and we relaxed ourselves by playing with waves and we had ice creams and we left from there and reached our college at 3.00 pm. The whole day program was hosted by Mr. Inigo Wilson, 2nd year student teacher. Overall the fourth day program was exciting and we enjoyed and learned a lot.
                          Day - 5
     SESSION- 1 PONGAL CELEBRATION
                          Report
              The fifth day of citizenship training camp was splitted into two session. The first session was Pongal celebration and the second session was food preparation and camp fire.
                The Pongal celebration was organized as a part of camp. The Pongal celebration was started at 9.30 a.m, in Bethany campus. Bethany angels invoked the blessing of God almighty by their prayer song. Ms. C. Christal Monisha, 2nd year student teacher welcomed the gatherings by her welcome address. The history of Pongal was presented by Ms. M. C. Monifa, 1st year student teacher. The felicitation was given by Rev. Fr. Dr. John Christopher OIC, Correspondent. Deepthi and group performed a group dance. Susmitha and group sang a song to recall the traditions the history of pongal was described as Villupattu by Suma and group. Vote of thanks was presented by Ms. K . Viji, 1st year student teacher. The program was hosted by Ms. M. Infanta Ashmi, 1st year student teacher. Games were conducted as a part of celebrations. uriyadi, musical chair, lemon and spoon, tug of war were conducted. over all the day was very interesting.
             SESSION – 2 FOOD                       PREPARATION AND CAMP FIRE
             After pongal celebration the second session was started at 1.30 p.m. in Bethany Campus. We the prospective student teachers involved us in food preparations. After food preparations, Rev. Fr. Dr. John Christopher OIC, started games and we all the student teachers enjoyed a lot and had a memorable day. The overall programme was perfectly handled by Ms. C M Lishma, I year student teacher. After camp fire, we hand our dinner from Ashram. And the programme come to an end at 8.30 p.m.
